Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the website cursora.webhoch.com. We process personal data only as far as necessary and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. The essentials
- This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- There is no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and no social media plugins.
- Fonts, images and scripts come only from our own server. Your browser does not connect to any other server while you visit this website.
- Only when you buy or try Cursora Pro do you move on to the checkout of our reseller Freemius (section 5).
3. Hosting and server logs
The website runs on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, in a data center in the European Union. IONOS is our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). The connection to the website is encrypted (HTTPS). An upstream proxy on the same server forwards the requests to the web server; it does not store IP addresses.
For every request, the web server logs:
- the shortened IP address (IPv4 without the last byte, IPv6 only the first 48 bits),
- date and time,
- the requested address, the status code and the amount of data transferred,
- the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it,
- browser and operating system (user agent).
If a request causes an error (for example a file that cannot be read), the web server also writes an entry to an error log. It contains the full IP address, date and time, the requested address, the referrer and the error message. The error log serves the same purpose and is also deleted automatically after 14 days.
The purpose is a secure and stable operation: finding errors and fending off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
4. Contact by email
When you write to us, we process your email address, your name (if given) and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or of pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest for general inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our mailbox is operated by SiteGround Spain S.L., Calle de Prim 19, 28004 Madrid, Spain, as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). SiteGround may also process data outside the European Union and the EEA, for example in the USA; in that case the EU standard contractual clauses apply (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). We delete messages once the request is settled, unless legal retention duties require longer storage (for example seven years for business records under § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code).
5. Buying Cursora Pro through Freemius
We sell Cursora Pro through Freemius, Inc. (USA) as our reseller (merchant of record). Clicking “Buy” or “Free trial” opens the checkout at checkout.freemius.com, where you conclude the purchase contract with Freemius. Freemius processes your details, such as name, email address, billing address, VAT ID and payment data, as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: https://freemius.com/privacy/. Transfers to the USA are covered by the safeguards Freemius describes there.
For license management, updates and support, Freemius passes on to us your name, your email address, the plan you bought, the license and payment status and the addresses of the websites where you activate Cursora Pro. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this data for the term of the license and afterwards as long as legal retention duties apply.
Once Cursora Pro is active on your website, its license checks and update requests go from your web server to Freemius. Besides the website address, the plugin version and the license data (the license key and the name and email address of the administrator), Freemius also receives the IP address of that server and the version of the Freemius SDK built into the plugin. The optional permission “Diagnostic info” is switched off by default. Only if you switch it on yourself are the WordPress and PHP versions, the language and the title of your website sent to Freemius as well. Freemius also records when the plugin is activated, deactivated or deleted on your website.
6. The plugins Cursora and Cursora Pro
The free Cursora plugin sends no data to us or to third parties. Cursora Pro connects to Freemius for license checks and updates; the data involved is described in section 5.
7. No automated decisions
We make no automated individual decisions and create no profiles.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Just write to support@cursora.webhoch.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
9. Changes
We update this policy when the website or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
